Take the waifu is a personal project that was made in 2 months
on unity using C#

Game Design
I was inspired by the basic mechanics of a sokoban like the number of points that drop with

each movement of the player the objects that you have to put on a on a specific square to unlock

a part of the level. So the fact that you have to get a specific item to finish the level.
As an example, this is the first level
Here are the tables where the player must place them on a tile of the same colour to remove the lock
I also created the enemy Maid who will block the player and he will have to tap him to clear the path
As well as the Ninja enemies that disappear as soon as the player moves.

The player will have to remember their position and if the player moves to the same square as a ninja they will lose.
Main character
I created all the assets of the game on Illustator.

I chose to do vectorial because it is a drawing method that I master as well as the

illustrator software that I also master.

Here is the sketch of the main character and its final result.
For the main character I was inspired by secondary anime characters (who have hair that hides their expressions).

I managed to make something like that and I like the result very much.

I tried several haircuts, face and clothes.
Yandere
For the Yandere I made several bodies and heads and different expressions
I took inspiration from several Yander archetypes and added bloodstains on her face and a smile with prominent canines so that it's easy to spot which one is a Yandere.
I made two faces for her, one evoking passion and the other a bit more sadistic.
Ennemi Maid
For the enemy Maid I wanted to make a funny enemy that shows the fact that they are under the obedience of the Yandere. So I had the idea to dress them as Maid.
Ennemi Ninja
For the ninja I wanted to make something effective and with a side a little not very intelligent. So I decided to make him have shuriken planted on his body. Did he throw shuriken on it or did he do it by himself ? question without answer.
